Мемориал Т.Моркуса (категория В) является первым конкурсом, который проводится по Суперправилам (RS) с момента их введения в 2002 г. Поэтому следует напомнить некоторые положения Международных правил (МП) и установленный в них уровень Суперправил (RS). Выдержки из МП приведены по бюллетеню СПИ-инфо № 10.

1.11. Тематический вариант (ТВ). ТВ - это развитие игры с точным порядком указанных автором ходов, ведущих от Начальной позиции к определенной Финальной позиции…
1.6.1. Финальная позиция, возникающая сразу после Комбинации. Такая Финальная позиция должна быть чистой…
1.6.2. Финальная позиция, возникающая после Эндшпильной позиции.
a) На доске присутствует только одна белая единица (шашка или дамка) и отсутствуют шашки или дамки чёрных в финальной позиции.
b) Присутствует минимальное число белых единиц, необходимых для запирания чёрных шашек…
1.8.1. Побочное решение в Эндшпильной позиции. Это ход (ходы), отличающийся от указанного автором, который приводит к Финальной позиции, которая отличается от Финальной позиции авторского Тематического варианта.
1.9. Дуаль. Дуаль - это нарушение точности хода (ходов) белых. Дуаль не приводит к другой Эндшпильной или Финальной позициям, отличающимся от Эндшпильной или Финальной позиций авторского Тематического варианта. Дуаль существует только по отношению к ходу (ходам) белых. Есть несколько типов дуали:
1.9.2. Свободный ход белой дамки. Это ход, который может быть завершен на двух или нескольких полях одной и той же диагонали.
1.17.3. Суперправила (RS). Проблема соответствует RS, если она имеет решение (1.7.), указанное автором как Основной Тематический вариант (1.11.), и если ее Основной ТВ удовлетворяет следующим требованиям (если в Проблеме есть только один ТВ, тогда этот один ТВ рассматривается в качестве ОТВ):
f) развитие игры в Эндшпильной позиции соответствует требованиям, указанным в 1.5.1.-1.5.2. а), и Финальная позиция (1.2.) чиста [это возможно только в двух случаях, оба из которых указаны в а) и b) статьи 1.6.1.];
Если в проблеме присутствуют несколько ТВ, то тогда только ОТВ должен соответствовать положениям статей 1.1. - 1.16; в этом случае несоответствие других ТВ требованиям пунктов d), e), f), g), h) и i) статьи 1.17.3. не является негативным фактором для других ТВ и для Проблемы в целом.
2.8. Участие в соревнованиях, организуемых CPI FMJD, или же в соревнованиях, согласованных с CPI FMJD, означает, что участник согласен с настоящими Международными правилами.

Принципиальное отличие RS от других уровней правил – это требование 100% точности всех ходов белых на протяжении всего решения в Тематическом варианте проблемы, то есть от начальной расстановки до определенной финальной позиции проблемы (1.17.3. f).
Однако в ряде случаев авторы не указывают решение до финальной позиции VT, а обрывают его, согласно своему желанию, что противоречит статье 2.8. МП.
Вопрос: что делать решателям, зрителям и судьям в таких случаях, чтобы определить: чиста финальная позиция VT, как того требует уровень RS, или нет?
В таких случаях я не вижу другого пути как это определить, кроме как попытаться найти/продолжить решение до финальной позиции проблемы, иначе невозможно понять – соответствует ли проблема требованию чистоты её финальной позиции, согласно RS, или не соответствует.
На этом основании, я прихожу к выводу, что ряд проблем, с неуказанными до появления финальной позиции решениями, не соответствуют уровню RS.
Сначала – проблемы с одним Тематическим вариантом (VT). Это проблемы B24, B41, В49, В67.
В проблемах В24 и В41, если продолжить игру до получения финальной позиции, налицо Побочное решение в Эндшпильной фазе проблемы, см. статью 1.8.1. МП.
В проблемах В49 и В67 аналогичная ситуация, с тем отличием от проблем В24 и В41, что в проблемах В49, В67 неточен всего один ход – заключительный ход белых, ведущий к появлению финальной позиции проблемы.
Можно спорить – соответствует ли эта неточность статье 1.8.1., или эту неточность следует рассматривать как Дуаль (этот вопрос я рассмотрю ниже), согласно статье 1.9.2., но для проблем В49 и В67 (обе – с одним VT) это значения не имеет: обе проблемы – В49 и В67 – уровню RS не соответствуют, так как на этом уровне запрещено не только Побочное решение, но также любая Дуаль.
Не соответствуют уровню RS также проблемы B12, B23, B40, B43, B44 и B65, так как в них нет чистой финальной позиции. Согласно статье 1.17.3. f), финальная позиция может быть чистой только в двух случаях – либо в финальной позиции присутствует только одна белая шашка, либо запирание черных осуществлено минимумом необходимых для запирания шашек белых, согласно статьям 1.6.1. и 1.6.2.
Не соответствуют уровню RS также проблемы B3, B39, B44, B57, B60, B61, B64 и B75, поскольку в них присутствуют неэкономичные жертвы.
Теперь о проблемах В26 и В27, обе – с несколькими VT в эндшпильной фазе проблемы. Обе они соответствуют уровню RS, но не во всех VT.
Проблема В26: является ли вариант В тематическим, если в нем нет точности в последнем ходе белых, приводящим к появлению финальной позиции?
Проблема В27: является ли вариант А тематическим, если в нем нет точности в последнем ходе белых, приводящим к появлению финальной позиции?
Оба случая аналогичны, поэтому я их рассматриваю вместе.
О допустимых неточностях в неосновном тематическом варианте указано в заключении статьи 1.17.3.:
«Если в проблеме присутствуют несколько ТВ, то тогда только ОТВ должен соответствовать положениям статей 1.1. - 1.16; в этом случае несоответствие других ТВ требованиям пунктов d), e), f), g), h) и i) статьи 1.17.3. не является негативным фактором для других ТВ и для Проблемы в целом.»
Неточный последний ход белых в варианте В проблеме В26 и варианте А в В27 подходит двум различным определениям в МП.
Первое – это определение ПР в эндшпильной фазе проблемы:
«1.8.1. Побочное решение в Эндшпильной позиции. Это ход (ходы), отличающийся от указанного автором, который приводит к Финальной позиции, которая отличается от Финальной позиции авторского Тематического варианта»
Второе – это определение одного из видов Дуали:
«1.9.2. Свободный ход белой дамки. Это ход, который может быть завершен на двух или нескольких полях одной и той же диагонали»
Так что же представляет собой неточный последний ход белых в нашем случае? Ответ на этот вопрос важен для вывода: соответствует ли неосновной тематический вариант с таким последним ходом требованиям RS, или нет? Так как допустимые отклонения от точности в неосновном варианте, согласно RS, не распространяются на статью 1.17.3. с), которая запрещает Побочное решение в любой фазе проблемы.
На мой взгляд, неточный последний ход белых в любом варианте уровню RS не соответствует, потому что, если принять второе определение (один из видов Дуали), то тогда мы игнорируем записанное в Первом определении, в 1.8.1. вот в этой части: «…который приводит к Финальной позиции, которая отличается от Финальной позиции авторского Тематического варианта».
Несмотря на то, что Финальная позиция в рассматриваемых вариантах авторами не указана, мы вынуждены проследить путь к ней, согласно требованиям RS; при этом мы обнаружим, что какой-либо одной и той же Финальной позиции в этих вариантах достичь последним ходом белых невозможно. Значит, в этих вариантах («В» в В26 и «А» в В27) налицо две разные Финальные позиции, что противоречит требованию статьи 1.8.1. – требованию, которое не оставляет места для сомнения.
Возможно/вероятно, для неосновного тематического варианта требование RS для этого случая – 39/Д49 – нуждается в корректировке, но в этом конкурсе необходимо принимать требования RS к тематическому варианту такими, какими они есть на сегодняшний день.

T.Morkus memorial is the first contest, which is run under Rules Superior (RS) since they were entered in 2002. Therefore it should remind some articles of the Rules Intenrational (RI) and the level of RS established there (extracts from the RI are given according to the website of E.van Dusseldorp).
1.11. The Thematic variant.
The Thematic variant (TV) is the development of the play with the exact order of moves indicated by the author, leading from the Initial position to the Final position…
1.6.1. The Final position appears immediately after the Combination.
This Final position must be pure. It means:
a) the presence of only one White piece (man or King) if Black is absent in the Final position;
b) the Black pieces are blocked, and White has nothing but the minimum number of blocking pieces.
1.8.1. The second solution in the Endgame position. This is a move or a series of moves, to be played in the Endgame position of the author’s Thematic variant and different from the author’s solution, which leads as well to a win for White, but with a different Final position.
1.9. The Dual.
The Dual is the disturbance of the punctuality in the move(s) of White. The Dual does not lead to another Endgame position or to another Final position different from those appearing in the Thematic variant given by an author. The Dual exists with regard to the moves of White only. There are several types of Dual:
1.9.2. The Freedom of movement for a White king.
This is a move, which may end at will on two or several squares of one diagonal.
1.17.3. Rules Superior.
A Problem satisfies the RS, if the Problem has a solution (1.7.) given by the author as the Principal TV (1.11.), and if its the VTP satisfies the following requirements (if a Problem has only one TV then this one TV is considered as the Principal TV):
f) the Endgame position (1.2.) satisfies the article 1.5.1. and 1.5.2. a) and the Final position (1.2.) is the Endgame position (1.2.) satisfies the article 1.5.1. and 1.5.2. a) and the Final position (1.2.) is pure [it is possible only in two cases written in a) and b) of 1.6.1.];
If a Problem presents several Thematic variants, then only the Principal TV must conform to the technical definitions in 1.1-1.16.; in that case the disagreement of the other TV with the requirements stated in the points d), e), f), g) h) and i) of this section is not a negative factor for these other TV and for the Problem as a whole.
2.9. Anyone participating in any competition authorised by the CPI is regarded as having agreed to be bound by the International Rules of the CPI.

The principal difference RS from other levels of the RI is the requirement of 100% accuracy of all moves of White in the Thematic variant (TV) of the solution, from Initial position till certain Final position of a problem (1.17.3. f).
However, some authors do not indicate solution till the Final position in TV. They do stop solution according to their wish, what contradicts to the article 2.8. of the RI.
The question is: what solvers, spectaculars and judges should do to define: is Final position of TV pure, as RS takes, or not?
In those cases I do see no other way apart from to try find/continue the solution till Final position. Otherwise it’s impossible to understand: does Final position correspond to RS, as RS takes, or not?
On this ground, I make conclusion that several problems with solutions, which were stopped before Final position, do not correspond to RS.
Firstly – problems with one Thematic variant (TV). Those are problems B24, B41, В49 and В67.
There is Second solution (SS) in Endgame’s phase of the problems B24 and B41, if to continue to play till Final position appearance, see 1.8.1 of the RI.
The same situation is in problems B49 and B67, but with the difference: only the last move of White is inexact – the move leading to Final position appearance.
It’s possible to discuss: does correspond that last inexact move to the article 1.9.2, or that inexact last move should be considered as a Dual (this question I will consider below), according to the article 1.9.2., but for problems B49 and B67 (both problems consist of one TV) it does not matter: both problems – B49 and B67 – do not correspond to RS, because at the level of RS not only SS is forbidden but any Dual is forbidden as well.
As well problems B12, B23, B40, B43, B44 and B65 do nor correspond to RS because there is no pure Final position. According to the article 1.17.3.f), Final position may be pure in two cases only: either there is the single White piece in Final position or the blocking of Black is executed by minimum of White pieces, which are necessary for the blocking, according to the articles 1.6.1. и 1.6.2.
As well problems B3, B39, B44, B57, B60, B61, B64 and B75 do not correspond to RS, because they do content non-economical sacrifices.
Now about problems B26 and B27, both – with several TV in Endgame’s phase of the problems. Both problems correspond to RS, but not in all TV.
Problem B26: is variant B thematic variant, if there is no exactness in the last White move leading to Final position appearance (author’s remark «Ring shot» in the end of B-variant is not relevant to RS)?
Problem B27: is variant A thematic variant, if there is no exactness in the last White move leading to Final position appearance?
Both cases are the same, therefore I consider them together.
The kind of allowed inexact move in non-principal TV is indicated in the end of the article 1.17.3.:
“If a Problem presents several Thematic variants, then only the Principal TV must conform to the technical definitions in 1.1-1.16.; in that case the disagreement of the other TV with the requirements stated in the points d), e), f), g) h) and i) of this section is not a negative factor for these other TV and for the Problem as a whole.”
The inexact last move in variant B of B26 and in variant A in B27 is fit for two different definitions in the RI.
The first one definition – that is the definition of SS in Endgame’s phase of a problem:
“1.8.1. The second solution in the Endgame position. This is a move or a series of moves, to be played in the Endgame position of the author’s Thematic variant and different from the author’s solution, which leads as well to a win for White, but with a different Final position”.
The second one definition – that’s the definition of a Kind of a Dual:
“1.9.2. The Freedom of movement for a White king.
This is a move, which may end at will on two or several squares of one diagonal.”
So, what is really the last inexact White move in the case considering? The answer is important to conclude: does correspond non-principal TV with such last move to the RS requirements, or does not? Because the allowed inexactness in non TV, according to RS, are not extended to the article 1.17.3. с), which does forbid SS in any phase of a problem.
In my opinion, the last inexact White move in any variant does not correspond to RS, because if to accept the second definition (a kind of a Dual), then we do ignore that what is written in the first definition, in 1.8.1., in this part: “…, which leads as well to a win for White, but with a different Final position.”
In spite of the fact that authors did not indicate Final position in variants considering, we are made to find out the Final position, according to the RS requirements; and we will find out that it’s impossible to reach a one and the same Final position by last White move in those variants. So, in those variants (“B” in B26 and “A” in B27) we see two different Final positions, what contradicts to the requirement of the article 1.8.1. – the requirement, which gives no place for a doubt.
Perhaps/probably, for the position 39/K49 in non-Thematic variant the requirement of RS takes to be corrected, but in this contest it’s necessary to apply the RS requirements to Thematic variant as they are for the time being.
Shortly the conclusions written above are placed in the Table.
